Digital Asset Exchange
Framework
An exchange is trusted on what it can prove rather than what it claims: that client assets are segregated, that the order book is surveilled, and that a withdrawal works on the worst day of the year. We build the institution to be provable — licensing and market rules, custody and key management, matching and surveillance systems, listing and delisting governance, and onboarding and financial crime controls.
THE SPECIFICATION
Architecture & Audience
A digital asset exchange matches orders and, in most models, holds the assets being traded. That combination — venue and custodian in one institution — is what regulators examine first and what has destroyed every exchange that failed. Segregation, proof of reserves and surveillance are not features added later; they are the licence condition and the business itself.
Operators building a regulated venue in a jurisdiction with a defined regime; existing exchanges seeking licensing and institutional credibility; and groups extending from brokerage into venue operation.
What We Deliver
A complete architecture, designed, launched, and managed
We select the jurisdiction and licence category that fits the exchange’s asset scope, client base, and growth plan, and manage the application process through to authorisation. Jurisdiction selection weighs regulatory substance, supervisory speed, and the institutional credibility the licence will confer.
We design the custody and asset segregation architecture that separates client assets from the exchange’s own holdings under all circumstances, including operational failure. Segregation is the regulator’s first question and the institution’s first obligation.
We select and implement the matching engine and market structure — order types, fee model, and market maker arrangements — that produce the liquidity profile the exchange needs to attract and retain institutional participants.
We build the listing and delisting governance framework: asset assessment criteria, due diligence process, listing committee, and the delisting procedures that can be executed without disrupting the market. Listing governance is what regulators examine first after custody.
We implement the market surveillance system that monitors for manipulation, wash trading, and disorderly conditions across all instruments listed on the exchange. Surveillance outputs are retained and available to the regulator on request.
We design and implement the proof of reserves framework and independent attestation arrangement that gives clients and regulators verifiable evidence that assets are held as stated. Attestation is conducted by an independent auditor on a schedule the regulator accepts.
We establish the banking relationships and fiat on/off ramp infrastructure that allows clients to deposit and withdraw in their base currency. Banking arrangements are negotiated to provide the exchange with stable, documented access to fiat settlement.
We implement the on-chain analytics and AML controls that screen counterparties, trace asset provenance, and identify transactions with high-risk addresses. Controls are calibrated to the asset classes and corridors the exchange operates in.
We build the reporting infrastructure that delivers the regulatory submissions, reserve attestations, and supervisory returns required by the exchange’s jurisdiction on schedule. All reporting is produced from verified system data, not assembled manually.
